Rich Powell
Born: 1963
Rich is
currently residing in the small town of Asheboro, North Carolina with
his lovely wife, Frankie and daughter, Bailey.
Rich has
been illustrating for the past sixteen years
while occasionally art directing for the ugly, ugly world of
computer gaming.
His work appears in publications,greeting
cards, posters, book jackets,
magazine covers, children’s books, and national advertising campaigns.
Look for
his most current work in Mad Magazine and look for his weekly cartoon "Dixie Drive"
each week in the Courier Tribune's "Get This" section and on Facebook.
He creates in traditional and digital media from watercolor and ink, to
Adobe Illustrator
and Photoshop. He shows his large scale
acrylic paintings in galleries around the Greensboro region.
His Studio is located at his home in the wooded hills near Asheboro.
